Dance Classes at FWAFA

3^rd – 6^th Grades:

• All students participate in dance classes every other day
• Students learn Ballet, Jazz & Tap Technique
• Students work on their skills in Choreography and Improvisation
• Students perform twice a year in Dance Concerts

7^th – 8^th Grades:

• Students can choose Dance as one of two fine arts electives
• Students participate in dance classes every day
• Students learn Ballet, Jazz & Modern Technique
• Students work on their skills in Choreography and Improvisation
• Middle School Dance Kaleidoscope on Wednesdays gives students an opportunity to learn Tap, Hip-Hop, Latin and African Cultural dances
• Students perform twice a year in Dance Concerts

9^th – 12^th Grades:

• Students can take as many Dance electives as their schedule allows 
• Coursework is offered in Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced Dance and Musical Theatre Dance 
• Students learn Ballet, Jazz, Modern & Tap Technique 
• Students work on their skills in Choreography and Improvisation as well as Dance History and Dance Criticism
• Students perform twice a year in Dance Concerts
